Red Coconut Chutney

Ingredients:
  • Tomato (4 no’s) – Cut into 4 slices
  • Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
  • Jeera – ½ tsp
  • Red chillies – 8-10 no’s
  • Grated coconut – 1 full coconut
  • Salt – To taste
  • Water – To grind
  • Cooking oil – For seasoning
  • Curd – ½ -1 cup
Preparation:
  • Make a fine paste using the second ingredients altogether and keep it aside.
  • Take a small pan, add some oil, mustard seeds, red chillies, curry leaves and the tomato slices, close it with a lid and cook it for 5 minutes.
  • Add the coconut paste and cook it for another 5-10 minutes in a slow flame.
  • Once it gets cooked and curd and serve it hot or cold.
