Ingredients
- Potato : 3 (medium)
- Onion : 1/2 cup
- Oil : 2 tbsp
- Mustard seeds : 1 tsp
- Urad dal : 2 tsp
- Chana dal: 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds : 1 tsp
- Curry Leaves : 5-6 leaves
- Green chilies : 3-4 (finely chopped)
- Garlic Pods : 4 (pressed)
- Turmeric Powder : 1tsp
- Coriander Leaves : For garnishing
- Salt : to taste
Method
- Boil the potatoes and peel the skin off. Cut half of
them into small cubes and slightly mash the remaining potatoes with your
hand.
- Heat oil in a kadai (a frying pan) add mustard seeds,
cumin seeds, urad dal and chana dal after it sputters add the curry
leaves, salt and onions.
- Saute them for a few minutes or till the onions turn
into translucent.
- After that add pressed garlic and turmeric powder fry
them for 2-3 minutes.
- Then finally add the potatoes and mix them well.
- Let it sit in the heat for few minutes and remove it.
- Garnish it with coriander leaves.
