Beetroot Thoran

Ingredients
  •   Beetroot-1
  •   Small onion-2
  •   Grated coconut-1/4
  •   Crushed Dry Red Chilly-1/4tsp
  •   Mustard seeds-1/4tsp
  •   Curry Leavs
  •   Oil-1Tbsp
  •   Salt -to taste
  •   Water-1/2 cup
Method
  •   Wash the peeled beetroot and cut in to fine pieces…Cook beetroot in a cooker adding 1cup of water and salt…Mostly 3 whistle is enough..Open the cooker after 5 minutes.. .By that time take a blender and add grated coconut (1/4 th of one coconut ), chilly d small onion into it d just give a whip ..(We don`t need a fine paste..Only need to mix the coconut with chilly d onion …)..Now heat oil in a pan …Then add mustard seeds d curry leaves ..After popping up the mustard seeds add the coconut mixture and little bit of salt d saute well ..When the raw smell (of onion d chilly) goes add the cooked beetroot and mix well…Stir them for 2 minutes ..so now the beet root poriya isl ready to serve …
